Cookie Policy
Effective June 28, 2026 · Last updated June 28, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Streama Studios uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They let a site remember your actions and preferences and operate securely.
2. How we use them
Streama keeps its use of cookies minimal and uses them mainly to make the Service work:
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication and security — keeping you signed in, protecting your session, and preventing fraud. These cannot be switched off without breaking the Service. | Session/auth cookie (httpOnly), CSRF protection |
| Functional | Remembering preferences such as player settings and volume. | Player preferences in local storage |
| Analytics (aggregate) | Understanding usage so we can improve the Service. We focus on aggregate metrics such as view counts rather than cross-site tracking. | View/playback events |
We do not use cookies to sell your personal data or to serve third-party behavioral advertising.
3. Third-party & embedded players
When you embed a Streama player on another site, or when our Service relies on third-party infrastructure (such as content delivery or payment processing), those providers may set their own cookies subject to their policies. Embedded players are designed to set only what is needed for playback.
4. Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using core features. Where required by law, we will request your consent for non-essential cookies and honor your choices.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version. Questions? Contact privacy@streamastudios.com.
